Artificial Intelligence’s Impact on Media

A.I. Abstinence Project - Students conduct a scientific experiment where they define A.I. technologies and then abstain from exposure to artificial intelligence in their daily life for 1 Day. Such A.I. technologies include Google Search, Social Media Streams, Video Games (pinball is okay), News Streams, Media Recommendations (TV, Music, Movies), Virtual Assistants, Customer Support Chatbots, Digital Advertisements. Exemptions include Maps, Messaging, Email, Telephone, Transportation or Ride Sharing apps as well as any technology for disability intervention or whose abstention could put student’s health at risk.

Visual Artifacts - In addition to full Lab Reports of the experiment, students are asked to create a Visual Artifact that represents the results of their experiment.
